My name is Julie Forthun, and I’ve been part of Keys to Dream Travel since February 2015. I've been married to my husband Dustin since 1998, and we have three daughters, Macy (17), Bailey (13), and Addy (2). Dustin is the pulpit preacher for the Augusta Road church of Christ in Greenville, South Carolina. I am a 1997 graduate of Freed-Hardeman University with a B.S. in Social & Behavioral Sciences. I’ve enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom to our girls since we began our family in 2002. I enjoy volunteering at my kids’ schools, supporting our high school marching band, spending time with our church family, and supporting Dustin in his work as a preacher. In my spare time, I enjoy shopping, reading, and spending time with friends and family. And of course, I love talking to people about Disney!
I love traveling, and one of my favorite destinations is Walt Disney World in Florida. We’ve traveled to many states and several foreign countries, but Disney World is the place that we return to time and time again. Our family has been traveling to Disney World since our oldest girls were very young. It is our family’s happy place and we have created many magical memories there through the years. As awesome as it is to experience Disney as a child, nothing compares to the joy we feel as parents when we see our children fall in love with the Disney magic right before our eyes. I’ll never forget our first trip to Disney World when our oldest saw Cinderella castle for the first time! Her eyes lit up with joy and she cried happy tears. It was so sweet to see her amazement and wonder, and it made all those hours of planning our first trip worth it!
Our family has stayed at a variety of Disney Resort hotels, and our favorite experience so far was our stay at Disney’s Contemporary Resort with a view of the Magic Kingdom. We could lie in bed at night and watch the castle lights change colors! It was an amazing experience. Magic Kingdom is my favorite park, and I adore meeting the characters. I think I even enjoy it more than my children do! I also enjoy the many dining options at Disney World, and through the years my family has experienced many of the restaurants and almost all of the character meals. Disney certainly offers something for everyone and every family, and with proper planning you can experience the vacation of a lifetime. I look forward to helping you plan your family’s vacation. Please contact me if I can be of service to you.
